SYNTHOME is more than just a record—it's Ash Code’s raw documentation of personal and creative survival. After the release of Perspektive and years of navigating a transformed world, the band found themselves disconnected, both from each other and from the music that once defined them. The pandemic reduced their presence to virtual echoes, and despite collaborations and international touring, the soul behind their work began to fade. In 2024, a series of personal ruptures—loss, distance, silence—pushed the band to the brink of disbandment. For six months, there was only stillness.
But from that silence, something unexpected surfaced. A new life entered the picture, shocking the band back into motion. Out of this emotional wreckage came SYNTHOME, an album named after Lacan’s concept of the sinthome—a symptom transformed into meaning. For Ash Code, synths are symptoms and sound is the way forward. Each track on the album traces the arc of grief and recovery, from the devastation of “Tear You Down” to the haunting resilience of “Synthome.” Fused with darkwave, EBM, and synthpop textures and mastered by Doruk Ozturkan of She Past Away, the record pulses with cinematic intensity and emotional clarity. SYNTHOME is not just an artistic rebirth—it’s the sound of a band remembering how to live.
