Purple Trash - Velvet Nightmares and Cold Sleep

Swiss solo project Purple Trash delivers Velvet Nightmares and Cold Sleep, a dark and atmospheric blend of darkwave, gothic rock, post-punk, and electronics. Across twelve tracks, melancholic guitars and shadowy synths move between brooding introspection, hypnotic rhythms, and moments of eerie folk-inflected beauty, giving the album a wonderfully self-contained and nocturnal character. At times unsettling, at times strangely playful, Velvet Nightmares and Cold Sleep embrace the darker side of the genre while leaving plenty of room for melody, atmosphere, and eccentricity. A distinctive debut from Swiss musician Sergio Da Silva.
