Vexagon - I for an I

I For An I is the third album from Vexagon, the darkwave project of Briar Moth. Written during a period of profound personal upheaval, the record explores identity, transformation, and the difficult cost of becoming who you are meant to be.

Across shadowed synthwave textures, melancholic basslines, and stark electronic atmospheres, Vexagon crafts a deeply introspective work that moves between vulnerability and quiet resolve. Themes of self-actualization, sexuality, and impermanence shape an album that feels both intimate and existential.

Since emerging from Augusta, Georgia, in 2018, Vexagon has steadily built a reputation within the darkwave underground. Previous releases have received multiple “Best of the Year” nods and DJ support, including spins from Ellen Allien.

Recorded using only a Zoom H4 recorder, bass guitar, and a modest netbook, I For An I embraces a stripped-down production that amplifies its emotional core.
